001. a new beginning, in public
A slight change of path, embracing more passions & starting to build in public
Hi readers 👋🏼
Welcome to my ideaverse! Or, in other words, my blog.
As we very probably don’t know each other, here’s a quick introduction: I’m Núria, and I’m a 21-year-old web designer (officially), from Barcelona.
Unofficially, I also:
design posters, calendars, zines, and anything graphic-designable
enjoy drawing, sketching, doodling, painting, crocheting, shaping clay
love to learn about many topics on YouTube, books and podcasts
organize almost my whole life and work in Notion
like scrolling through beautiful homes, pretty cakes & photography on Pinterest
This is my first post, where I dive in a change of direction for my creative journey.
Get comfy 😌
Some context
At the beginning of 2021, I made a couple Notion templates with my very little Notion skills and published them on Gumroad. That shop is half abandoned now and makes about €10 every three months, and only thanks to affiliates 😅.
A year later, I fell in love with web design and published my website last summer to become a freelance web designer. I've had some client projects, and I'm overall pretty happy with how it has been turning out. However, I haven't been able to reach some of the goals I had set.
But I have learned 3 important things:
— If I want to grow, I need to focus on my personal brand first
— I do not want to do only web design
— I want to create a project that can help a lot of people at a time
So, what now?
I'm taking a new direction. I’m going to craft an authentic personal brand that aligns with who I am. My aim is to help more people, do more things and have more fun.
As a multi-passionate creative, I want to help people with whom I resonate, who are very passionate about what they do and want to share it: painters, writers, designers, illustrators, ceramists, small businesses… This way, I get to experience everything I’m passionate about, but within my own personal brand.
And a key aspect of that is to start building in public. Sharing the process, goals, learnings, and decisions. Basically, thinking out loud and hopefully inspire a person or two.
For that, I’m going to be focusing on two channels:
My current Instagram, where I've already started to post again. It will be the place to casually share in a visual form: creative projects, behind the scenes, workflow, tips…
This blog. Where I’ll expand on my thoughts and go deeper. I’ll talk about the process, what I learn, how I’m doing things, as well as interesting topics and insights. I’ll try to post weekly.
I'm so excited to start sharing this journey!
What is coming next?
Next big thing: New website.
It has only been a year, but when I first published my website it had different objectives. So this new direction just asks for a new website. And one that’s easy to update so that it can evolve as I create new paths.
I’m also going to create some (free) Notion templates for creatives, multi-passionates and just anybody with a project that excites them.
Who has inspired me: resources

Also, everyone I follow on Instagram inspires me in one way or another
Thank you for taking the time to read what I have to say!! 🙏🏻
Let me know: What are you passionate about? Do you have one passion or several? Are you navigating any particular phase in your (creative) journey?
I invite you to join me as I dive into this new, exciting path. No matter where you are in your own journey, you are very welcome here!
I love everything you are sharing about the types of art you like to create. as a fellow graphic/ web designer working on starting to actually share my work (s/o struthless challenge) it is great to see others putting energy into a creative life, rather than just a niche item to sell.
keep it up!
Sounds like many exciting things coming up! I am looking forward to follow your creative journey <3
